Un.e Air.e de famille

  • Musée d’art et d’histoire Paul Eluard 22 bis Rue Gabriel Péri Saint-Denis, IDF, 93200 France (map)

Presented as part of the Africa2020 Season, the exhibition Un.e Air.e de famille invites us to think with Afro-diasporic art from the Paul Eluard Museum of Art and History in Saint-Denis. It reveals the anti-colonial commitment of the surrealists and other artists from the museum's collections, whose works enter into dialogue with the contemporary artistic practices of thirteen women artists from Africa and its diasporas.

Artists: Laeïla Adjovi (Benin), Eliane Aisso (Benin), Malala Andrialavidrazana (Madagascar / France), Yto Barrada (Maroc / France / USA), les soeurs Chevalme (France), Nadia Kaabi-Linke (Tunisia / Allemagne), Katia Kameli (Algeria / France), Kapwani Kiwanga (Canada / France / Tanzania), Tuli Mekondjo (Namibia / Angola), Otobong Nkanga (Nigeria / Belgium), Owanto (Gabon), Thania Petersen (South Africa), Euridice Zaituna Kala (Mozambique).
